The Beast in Me is Netflix’s latest binge-worthy thriller series, but it also features an adorable little white dog that people have grown concerned about.
Steve the dog is introduced in the very first episode of the eight-episode series. He’s the beloved dog of Claire Danes‘ character Aggie, and we soon learn that her late son named him.

Those who want to watch continue watching the show might feel hesitant to continue given its dark subject matter and ominous tone. There are several moments in the first few episodes alone where Steve is left by himself and viewers might fear for his life.
But thankfully, nothing bad happens to Steve! The little dog survives the whole show. There are other dogs in The Beast in Me, like Niles Jarvis’ (Matthew Rhys) big guard dogs, and they’re okay too, though they do get drugged in one episode and roughed up a bit. Nothing extreme.
