A spinoff TV series from the new Superman movie is officially in development!
The show will star Skyler Gisondo and follow his character Jimmy Olsen, a Daily Planet photographer and “unlikely ladies’ man,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Skyler’s portrayal of Jimmy immediately became a breakout from the James Gunn–directed film, which debuted over the summer.
Per the outlet, the series will center on Jimmy “as well as other Daily Planet reporters (minus Lois Lane and Clark Kent), who tackle cases involving super-powered villains.”
One of the villains spotlighted in the first season is the super-intelligent ape Gorilla Grodd, one of the Flash’s primary antagonists.
