Trump shared a post about Seth over the weekend to his Truth Social account where he claimed the comedian is “suffering from an incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).” He also said that the NBC show is a “ratings disaster” and called on the network to fire him.
Seth responded to this latest attack in his monologue, noting that Trump‘s post was in response to a rerun of an episode he had previously lashed out about, when he called Seth a “truly deranged lunatic.”
In other words, Trump has now written two angry Truth Social posts about the same episode.
“So catapults set him off last time. What was it this time? Well, he posted on Saturday, and referred to last night, which means it was probably something I said on Friday, but our Friday show was a repeat. Which repeat? The catapult show. So it was the catapults again,” Seth explained.
“And with respect, Mr. President, you can’t get mad a second time for the same thing when it’s in a repeat.”
“I’m also aware that being attacked this weekend by the president doesn’t make me special in any way, shape or form,” he added. “I was simply on the same s–t list as Christopher Wray, James Comey, Indiana Republicans, Thomas Massie, Rand Paul, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and former President Joe Biden.”
FCC President Brendan Carr shared Trump‘s post calling for Seth to be fired.
