Millie Bobby Brown shares what it was like acting alongside David Harbour on Stranger Things.
The 21-year-old actress and the 50-year-old actor play Eleven and Jim Hopper on the show, with Hopper acting as a surrogate father to Eleven.
Chatting with Deadline, Millie said “of course” she “felt safe” working with him, despite rumors circulating that she’d previously filed claims alleging David had bullied her on-set.

“I mean, we’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set,” she said. “You naturally just… you know, you’ve been doing it for so long. We also play father and daughter so naturally, we have a closer bond than the rest because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in Season 2.”
She went on to say, “David and I have a great relationship, we work really closely together in the scenes and preparing for the scenes and I really am excited to see — for everyone to see the labor of love and hard work we’ve put into the closure of our relationship and what that looks like.”
The fifth season kicked off earlier this week, with the second volume set to drop on Christmas Day.
“Those scenes that I feel, I think, are going to be quite impactful. I love it. It makes me want to bring my A game every single time I see that I’m on the call sheet working with him because I know he’s bringing it right back,” The Electric State star concluded.
Millie also reflected on their friendship in a different interview released earlier this week, saying that both she and David “value” their “friendship more than anything.” Before that, they shared a warm reunion at the show’s NYC premiere, seemingly putting the rumors to bed.
