Host Andy Cohen asked him if he had any idea that the movie “wasn’t great.”

In response, Miles said, “You saw the movie, right? Your eyes were working during that time? I think it’s unfortunate … because so many people worked so hard on that movie. And, honestly, maybe there was one really important person who kind of f–ked it all up.”

According to The Wrap, The Gorge star was likely referring to the director Josh Trank, who rather infamously tweeted that his followers would “probably never see” the “fantastic version” of the movie he had in mind, suggesting that studio interference resulted in the lackluster theatrical version.

It’s likely that Josh‘s tweet contributed to the box office failure.

Miles told Andy he was disappointed by how it ended up as it would have been good for him to have a successful superhero movie on his resume to be “taken seriously as a leading man.”

“And that was our chance. And the casting, I thought was spectacular. I love all those actors,” he said.

The film also starred Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Toby Kebbell.

“I remember talking to one of the studio heads, and I was like, ‘I think we’re in trouble,’” he concluded.

Miles weighed in on whether or not he would be invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding!
