Lena Dunham‘s Netflix show Too Much is done after one season.
The 39-year-old actress and writer co-created the series with her husband Luis Ferber. It was inspired by their real romance.

But at the FYC panel, Lena explained that they only intended to make it a limited series, so it’s not a big shock that it won’t get a season 2, per Deadline.
“Our intention was always to make Too Much as a limited series,” the Girls alum said. “It was meant to feel like a classic transatlantic love story but with time to really dig into the complexities that a film doesn’t have the space for.”
The show revolved around the love story between characters Jessica and Felix, played by Meg Stalter and Will Sharpe. All 10 episodes debuted in July 2025.
