The Princess of Wales is continuing to ease back into public duties following her 2024 cancer diagnosis and her remission announcement this past January.

“My passion and the work of the Centre for Early Childhood stems from one essential truth; that the love we feel in our earliest years fundamentally shapes who we become and how we thrive as adults,” she told attendees at the event (via Harper’s Bazaar).

The royal spoke about how “love is the first and most essential bond” and encouraged businesses to support families in fostering nurturing early environments.

The Summit is designed to bring together some of the U.K.’s most influential leaders in the hopes of further investing in the early years of childhood.

In October, Kate and Prince William enjoyed a trip to Northern Ireland. See photos from their trip here!
