JoJo Siwa performed at Mall of America on Black Friday this year, but what fans might not know is she was hospitalized only hours before!
The 22-year-old singer shared a video on TikTok detailing what happened, revealing that she had to go to the emergency room after dealing with horrible pain on-and-off for several days.

“So long story short, every time that I’ve been dancing for the last couple of days or even just like walking like anything, my stomach would just really, really hurt,” JoJo said. “And I don’t know why, but it just kind of passed, and so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe it’s that time of the month, maybe it’s a cramp, I don’t know.’”

But then on Friday morning the pain increased. Sleeping didn’t help and taking a bath only made it worse.
“That set it off 100 times worse,” the “Boomerang” singer continued. “I was in [the bathtub] for maybe four minutes, and all of a sudden I was like, I have to get out immediately ’cause I knew I was gonna black out and I felt like I was gonna throw up.”
At the hospital, they discovered that she had an ovarian cyst that burst and bled into her stomach. The doctors told her that it should resolve itself, but she’ll have to return for a check-in.
Despite the diagnosis, JoJo went ahead with her Mall of America performance with the assistance of pain medication and even said she was preparing to continue doing some dance classes.
