Mr. Fantasy has been going viral on social media for the past couple months and he made his debut TV performance during the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
While the identity of the new pop star has never been confirmed, fans suspect he’s the alter-ego of Riverdale actor KJ Apa.
KJ and Mr. Fantasy both have the exact same tattoos and their faces are practically identical. It appears that KJ is wearing a wig and fake teeth for the alter-ego.

The singer told THR, “Well, it started with a woman. And that woman is my nan, my grandmother. That’s where the story begins because she is my reason, and she fostered this gift that I had been given by the gods to create music. As a small child, that’s what I loved, and I grew up listening to amazing music. And she always told me to pursue that dream and she believed in me and I decided to come to Los Angeles and make it like so many people do, because America is this place, this magical place, where somehow, for some reason, you can be completely who you want to be. Any version of yourself seems to be accepted.”
Mr. Fantasy dressed as a pirate for his appearance on the parade.
“HAHAHA YES BABE IM A PIRATE. To everyone I saw today on my pirate ship at the @Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade – I love you all. You make me so happy. You are all in my hearts. Your smiles are contagious. Your souls are magnetic. I am still reeling. LOVE YOU 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪,” he wrote on TikTok.
