Elizabeth Hurley‘s son Damian is singing his praises for her boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus.
If you didn’t know, back in April, the 60-year-old The Royals actress and the 64-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer shocked fans when they announced that they were dating. The couple first met on the set of their 2022 holiday movie Christmas in Paradise.
After the couple attended the 2025 CMA Awards earlier this week, Damian, 23, took to his Instagram Story to defend his mom’s relationship and to praise Billy Ray.
Keep reading to find out more…“I’ve been in the public eye since the day I was born and rarely comment on anything written about me or family, but recent stories are so startlingly untrue that I want to offer a little clarity,” Damian began.
“For the record: I adore Billy Ray Cyrus and think he’s one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met,” he continued. “I love seeing my mom so happy. Billy’s kids are also adorable and everyone gets along beautifully; any claims to the contrary are yawn inducing and tediously untrue.”
Damian added, “I have a very modern family – from my cherished father Arun, to my wonderful step siblings – and I feel blessed every day to be surrounded by so much love and support. I’m grateful for the truth we live, despite the stories others try to write for us.”
Billy Ray re-posted Damian‘s post on his own Instagram Story, and added, “Love you D Man” along with the red heart emoji.
In a recent interview, Elizabeth gushed over Billy Ray while opening up about what they have in common.
