While there are no official documents citing the artist as a suspect just yet, “investigators are looking at D4vd as a suspect,” per TMZ.
“One source claims the police investigation revealed that around the Spring of 2025, D4vd took a trip in the middle of the night to a remote area of Santa Barbara County and remained there for several hours,” the outlet reported, noting that they have not yet verified the claim nor why it would be part of the investigation.
Her death is currently being seen as a homicide, although the Medical Examiner has not determined the official cause of death while the toxicology reports are still pending.
D4vd was living in a rental home in the Hollywood Hills when police looked for any blood evidence at the residence. After his Tesla was found abandoned nearby and towed away, Celeste‘s body was found in the front trunk decomposing in a plastic bag in early September.
Her date of death was listed as September 8.
TMZ‘s sources claimed that it appeared her body was “cut up and that the manner in which Celeste was dismembered strongly suggests whoever did it had help from other people.”
A spokesperson previously said that D4vd was “fully cooperating with the authorities,” per E! News.
Police have also told the outlet that they are “not close” to an arrest.
The singer cancelled his remaining tour dates amid investigation.
