The track, which circulated online months ago after a leak, has now properly been released on Tate‘s new album.
She wrote it with Grant and Julia Michaels, and Grant also produced the track.
“My fans hate you, my friends hate you, and Ryan hates you, and I do too,” she declares, seemingly referring to her collaborator Ryan Tedder.
“You’re tryna make this competition but no one lets you in this room / You say you hate me, but let’s be real, you only hate ’cause you like the drama / And if you hate me, then why you keep on jacking off to Tatiana?” she goes on to say, making a reference to her stage persona.
“I have an alter ego, her name is Tatiana. Usually when I’m writing or I’m on stage, I like, kinda black out. Uhm. I feel like I’m pretty shy in big groups, and then as soon as I get on stage I’m the most ballsy person I’ve ever met,” she explained years ago.
