Sydney Sweeney is setting the record straight about those romance rumors involving her and Glen Powell.
The 28-year-old Anyone But You star addressed the rampant online chatter that she and her co-star had some sort of behind-the-scenes connection, insisting it was all fabricated by the media.

“Honestly, the press did it themselves. There was no leaning in, per se,” Sydney told Variety in a new interview.
Speculation first took off during the promotional tour for their hit 2023 rom-com. Fans noticed that Sydney and Glen shared undeniable chemistry both on screen and in interviews, which led many to believe they might be dating in real life.
However, Sydney was engaged at the time to businessman Jonathan Davino, while Glen was dating Gigi Paris, who later weighed in on the situation herself.
“Truly the tabloids and journalists just created it and kept going,” Sydney said. “Even if we were just standing next to each other, it was, ‘They’re standing two inches apart!’”
Despite the media frenzy, she emphasized that she and Glen remain close colleagues, saying they do “genuinely care for each other and have a love and respect for one another.”
“I love being with him. And I think people just truly saw a really beautiful pairing,” she concluded.
Sydney recently addressed whether she’s ever had plastic surgery.
