Sean “Diddy” Combs was planning ahead for his time out of jail before sentenced to prison.
The 55-year-old music mogul has been in jail for 13 months while awaiting and going through the trial, and had already made plans for as soon as next week. He reportedly had seven speaking engagements scheduled, which the prosecution called the “height of hubris,” via the New York Times.

This was revealed in a letter that was filed to the judge by the prosecution, from Givanni Sairra, a founder of a nonprofit that assists inmates readjusting to life outside of prison.
In the letter, Giovanni wrote the organization had “secured approval from correctional agencies like GEO Group, Inc. and community partners to host Mr. Combs as an instructor teaching both virtually and in person.”
Most of the dates were scheduled for the Miami area where Diddy lived before his arrest.
The engagements were “to focus on entrepreneurship, mentorship, life skills, and personal development.”
“Contrary to what the government said — and I’m going to say this blatantly — we do need something for him to do if he does get out today,” one of his lawyers said later in response, adding he would fill his time “not with speaking engagements, but with teaching engagements.”
If you missed it, Diddy was sentenced to 50 months (four years and two months) in prison for his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was previously cleared of sex trafficking charges.
Earlier this year, Diddy‘s defense team confirmed they contacted the Trump administration after the President was reportedly considering pardoning him.
