
Rob Jetten has been elected Prime Minister of The Netherlands, making history as both the country’s youngest and first openly gay person to earn the role.
German outlet Deutsche Welle notes that Jetten is the projected winner in the October 29 election, but official results won’t be confirmed until November 3.
“I am incredibly happy that … we have become the biggest party in this election. historic result for the D66. At the same time, I feel a great responsibility,” Jetten told reporters after his projected win (via People). “I think we’ve now shown to the rest of Europe and the world that it is possible to beat the populist movements if you campaign with a positive message for your country.”
Rob has a hunky fiance who happens to be a two-time Olympic athlete!

Nico, 28, has competed at the Olympics in field hockey for Argentina.
BBC reports that the couple will be getting married in 2026.
