In their new Hallmark Channel original movie Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper, Robert Buckley and Kimberley Sustad play former high school classmates who reunite years later and end up in a budding romance during the holiday season.
JustJared.com sat down with Robert and Kimberley for an interview ahead of the premiere of the new movie and had to ask about their own high school experiences. And would they ever want to run into any former classmates?!

Kimberley said, “I want to tell you what an absolute nerd I was in high school and little known fact for all those out there suffering as well, or obviously not anymore, but I did not hit puberty until I was in grade 11. I didn’t exist. So I was like the little nerd in the corner, just wishing I had a boyfriend, but didn’t.”
“So, would I want to run into anybody now? Maybe! I’d be like, ‘What’s up now?! I’m doing Hallmark Christmas movies now!’” Kimberley joked.
Robert responded, “That would be the funniest thing to have on video. Just you going up to all of these random 40-year-old guys at their jobs, and being like, ‘Oooh, didn’t you miss out on something special!’ Just you dumping on a bunch of guys who don’t understand what’s happening.”
“Similarly to Kimberley, I was of the nerdy variety. I was popular and social, but I just was not a ladies man. I think part of my likability was just how little of a threat I was to someone’s girlfriend or to make a move, that all terrified me. Similarly to Kimberley, my one big outstanding crush was unrequited and still to this day might not even know she was my crush,” Robert said.
Kimberley asked for the name of the girl and Robert replied, “Heather Graham… no, wouldn’t that be crazy!”
Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! airs on Hallmark Channel on Saturday (October 25) at 8/7c and streams the next day on Hallmark+. Watch a preview below!
