Ginny & Georgia’s Antonia Gentry Reveals the Season 3 Moment That Upset Her, Teases Season 4 (Exclusive Clip!)

Ginny & Georgia star Antonia Gentry is opening up in a new podcast interview, and we have an exclusive clip!

The 28-year-old actress, who portrays Ginny on the hit Netflix series, recorded an episode of “The Art of Kindness: Pop Culture & Positivity with Robert Peterpaul” podcast, where she was asked about the most upsetting thing for her in season three of the series.

If you don’t know, season three debuted earlier this year, and featured Ginny having some issues with her bestie Max (played by Sara Waisglass). A chat the two characters had during a basement party got a lot of attention this season, with Ginny giving Max the cold shoulder and bluntly telling her they had grown apart. The scene went viral with many fans really upset at the interaction. It looks like Antonia generally agrees!

When asked what upset her the most about the last season, she responded, “I was really upset when Ginny was mean to Max in that basement party. I was like, I don’t know. It was also really hard to be mean to Sara, even though we were both our characters and we just like, it’s whatever. But I was like, ‘I don’t want to be mean to you!’”

She also teased what’s to come in season four: “When we talked about Ginny’s arc and turning into some sort of version of Georgia by the end of season three, I was so excited because…it’s been three seasons of me being really sad. I got to have a little bit of agency in season three as Ginny, but she kind of gets sort of power hungry and we kind of see that shift happening…And I’m just excited to see a version of her.”

She continued, “I still don’t know what’s gonna happen for season four. I have like an idea of it. But I won’t be able to like get in there and start demanding things until we get closer to shooting, which is very soon. But I would like to see a version of Ginny. I don’t know that she’ll… I hope that she heals, but she will never not be scarred. And I just want to see a version of her that rather than being ashamed of her scars, she embraces them. Even if that means being a little evil for a bit. Yeah, I think she has to operate in extremes first before she balances in the middle,” she continued.

“[Show creator Sarah] Lambert listens to feedback, but it’s usually just like… I mean, she has a very specific vision for the show, and I think that’s what makes it so successful, is that it’s, you know, tonally, it’s all over the place, but there’s this tightrope that we walk, where it’s lighthearted and campy and fun, and then it’s like the most devastating thing you’ve ever seen,” Antonia added.

Here’s our prediction for the cast list for season four of Ginny & Georgia.
