“As great of an opportunity as it was to be on the Housewives, it was also heavy on my spirit,” she tells Variety. “Walking away has given me my power back. It’s given me a sense of freedom, and I’m in a good headspace. I want to create. I want to spend time with my family and friends. We live in a crazy world right now, and anywhere you can find joy and hold on to it for a bit is where we should all go. I am enjoying joy, peace and my life at this point.”

She also touched on the finale moment where she walked off set and refused to take a photo with the cast.

“There was a moment where I felt like I no longer belonged here,” Garcelle said. “I no longer fit in here. It was definitely a moment of like, ‘This is not for me.’ It just didn’t feel right.”

While executive producer Andy Cohen has told her she can return anytime she wants, Garcelle addressed the possibility of her coming back.

“Not anytime soon,” she simply said.

If you missed it, a familiar face is joining the season 15 cast of RHOBH!
