The former co-stars, who worked together in the 2021 movie The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, both received awards at the festival on Monday (September 29) in Zurich, Switzerland.

Both up them received a Golden Eye Award while premiering their new films. Benedict was there with his new movie The Thing With Feathers while Claire presented her new movie H Is For Hawk.

During his speech, Benedict opened up about getting to pass on his love of cinema to new generations.

“I like the idea of continuing, not retiring,” Benedict said (via Variety). “I am fortunate to be the president of a drama school and look all that hope and future in the eye and realize that 90% of them might not have a career as actors is pretty shocking. It’s a huge privilege to be able to do that: to tell stories that are important to you. You are about to see one of the results of that.”

Benedict recently made comments about Hollywood being “grossly wasteful.”
