Bad Bunny Wins Big at Latin Billboard Music Awards 2025, Shares Touching Moment with Legend Rita Moreno

Bad Bunny was the big winner of the night at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards and he had a touching moment with the legendary Rita Moreno on stage!

The 31-year-old singer, who will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, received the coveted Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century award at the event on Thursday night (October 23) in Miami, Fla.

“When I started my career, being Latino in the United States meant facing barriers, prejudices and many closed doors. Opportunities were few, almost non-existent, and every small step forward was a victory,” Rita began her speech (via USA Today).

She added, “Today, I see an artist who brings to the entire world that same strength, that same passion that helped me never give up. It moves me from the bottom of my heart, Benito, to present you with the Billboard Latin artist of the 21st century award.”

Billboard reports that Bad Bunny told Rita, “I respect you a lot, I admire you a lot, wow. Following your words, every time I hear other artists express themselves that way about me, it gives me the confidence that being myself and doing the things I do from the heart will always be a great decision, because that’s what I’ve done since day one, discovering who I am and what I represent.”

Bad Bunny received 11 awards in total at the event.

Later that night, Bad Bunny hosted an after party at his Miami restaurant Gekko, which he co-owns with David Grutman.

The NFL commissioner has spoken out about the controversy over the Halftime Show.
