One of Taylor Swift‘s many selfless displays of generosity is now coming to light.

The 35-year-old Midnights superstar came up in conversation as wrestling legend Jeff Jarrett made an appearance on TMZ Sports.

During an interview, the 58-year-old wrestling star spoke out about a time that Taylor did something truly thoughtful for him and his late wife, Jill Gregory.

Jeff explained that Taylor lived in the same community in Tennessee as his family, and upon hearing the news of Jill‘s breast cancer diagnosis, performed a three-hour private concert while visiting their family, including kids Joslyn, Jaclyn and Jerlyn.

“It was Christmas of 2006 and my first wife was really ill with breast cancer,” he recalled.

“She came over and didn’t bring her guitar in. She actually ran back home because the girls wanted her to sing and play,” he continued.

The timing of that performance places it just a few months after the release of 2006′s Taylor Swift, her debut.

“One thing led to another. Taylor went and got her guitar. Some more people dropped by and by the end of the afternoon, Taylor played about three hours in our great room. It’s a pretty big space. There was probably 35, 45 people at the end of it.”

Sadly, Jill passed away in May the following year.

He noted that Taylor stayed close with the family, and even watched the kids and baked cookies with them.

“When my wife passed away, Taylor hung around and then was really good to the girls,” he noted.

Later on, as Taylor‘s star was rising even higher, his daughter Jaclyn played young Taylor in the “Mine” music video.

“She bonded with the family, particularly with the girls…what a very cool relationship that developed,” he added, saying that he’s still in contact with Taylor‘s dad, Scott Swift.
