Sterling K. Brown is recovering from an injury while at the Emmys!
The 49-year-old actor skipped the red carpet and used a scooter to roll on stage at the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 14) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Sterling and his Paradise co-stars James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson presented an award together. More stars from the show who attended included Krys Marshall, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Jon Beavers, and Charlie Evans.
Sterling explained his injury the other day on Instagram.

In a clip that he shared, Sterling revealed he tore his Achilles tendon while “doing something athletic, as I am known to do.”
“Not something super dangerous or anything. I just took a step, and it felt like somebody stomped on the back of my heel,” Sterling said.
Sterling delayed surgery so that he could attend the Emmys.
“Going to do it after the Emmys so I can motivate myself to go and try to celebrate with my cast and the producers of Paradise, because we got recognized and it would be nice to be out there and chillin’,” he said.
Paradise is up for Outstanding Drama Series, plus acting awards for Sterling, Julianne, and James. Check out the full list of winners so far!
