Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci are calling it quits.
On Friday morning (September 19), the 67-year-old Edward Scissorhands filmmaker and the 60-year-old Italian actress announced in a joint statement that they have broken up after two years of dating.

Tim and Monica first met nearly two decades ago while on the red carpet at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, but it was a brief meeting as they were both in long-term relationships with other people at the time.
They reconnected in 2022 when Monica presented Tim with a lifetime achievement award at the Lumière Festival in France. They sparked romance rumors soon after that when they were seen walking arm-in-arm in Madrid, but didn’t confirm their relationship until June 2023 then made their red carpet debut in October 2023 at the Rome Film Festival.
Tim then cast Monica to play the villainous Delores in 2024′s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
If you didn’t know, Tim was previously in a long-term relationship with Helena Bonham Carter from 2001 until 2014. They share two kids – son Billy, 21, and daughter Nell, 17. Monica was previously married to Oceans 12 actor Vincent Cassel from 1999 until 2013. They share daughters Deva, 21, and Léonie, 15.
