Chanel is celebrating women filmmakers!

The fashion house, along with Tribeca co-founder and CEO Jane Rosenthal. hosted a special luncheon to celebrate the 10th annual THROUGH HER LENS: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program on Tuesday (September 16) held at Locanda Verde in New York City.

Stars in attendance included Sarah Paulson, Mariska Hargitay, Lucy Liu, and Kaitlyn Dever.

Keep reading to find out more…“10 years ago, when Paula Weinstein and I launched Through Her Lens with Chanel, we thought we were starting a program,” Jane said during the event. “But what we were really starting was a movement. We built a network, a home, and a family… and collected a few new girlfriends along the way. Our alumni open doors for one another, champion each other’s work, and prove what we’ve always known: the barrier has never been about talent—it’s access.”

She continued, “To me, that is the added gift of Through Her Lens: we build relationships that endure because of the consistency of Chanel’s support for women in film and artists. And here we are, 10 years later, having supported over 100 filmmakers and 50 films that have received distribution and accolades.”
