Jonathan Bailey will soon be taking some much needed time off.
While discussing his nonprofit organization the Shameless Fund, which supports LGBTQ+ people around the world, the 37-year-old Emmy-nominated actor announced that he will taking a break from acting once he wraps the press tour for his next movie Wicked: For Good.
Keep reading to find out more…“I’ve been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing,” Jonathan shared with GQ UK. “But with everything happening in the world right now, I’m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund.”
The Bridgerton actor went on to say that his main focus over the next few months will be figuring out the staff for the Shameless Fund and “making sure [he] gets all the right people in all the right places.”
Also in the interview, Jonathan opened up about his decision to start the organization to help the LGBTQ+ people in the U.K. and shared his hopes to help the community.
“You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that,” he said. “That’s why this collaboration with Cubitts has been so amazing. Not only is it fun and creative, it can also make a real difference.”
