
Kristoffer Polaha has landed a brand new role!
The 48-year-old Hallmark star is joining the cast of the upcoming MGM+ series American Hostage as a series regular, according to Deadline.

Kristoffer is set to play Dick Hall, “the president of Meridian Mortgage who is taken hostage by Tony Kiritsis (Giovanni Ribisi), who publicly accuses him on being a greedy and cutthroat monster. But the real human being is more complicated than that.”
American Hostage is an anthology series that was greenlit earlier this year, and is based on the first season of the podcast of the same name.
The forthcoming series is a billed as a “psychological thriller whose ’70s-set first season tells the harrowing true story of Fred Heckman (Jon Hamm), a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program.”
In addition to starring, Jon is also serving as an executive producer.
Also set to star are Mireille Enos and William Jackson Harper. Filming is set to take place this fall in Winnipeg, Canada.
Kristoffer is best known for starring in a multitude of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Mystery movies and TV shows. He also starred in the series Life Unexpected and Ringer, among several other projects.
