Cierra and OTHRSYDE, whose real name is Jonathan Gonzalez, were married over the weekend at The Lafayette Hotel & Club in San Diego with 160 guests in attendance to celebrate their love.
Among those guests were her The Fosters/Good Trouble co-stars Maia Mitchell, Sherri Saum and Teri Polo, who she has remained close with throughout the years.
While Cierra “really dreaded” not having her father walk down the aisle (he sadly passed away in 2021 from COVID), her uncle Rudy stepped in to walk her as a string quartet played “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake, which is her favorite worship song.
OTHRSYDE also walked down the aisle to his favorite song, “Like a Stone” by Audioslave.
Cierra wore a Nicole + Felicia dress down the aisle, which she found at Jaxon James in Los Angeles.
“My wedding dress is Nicole + Felicia, and I originally came in for another one of their dresses. I tried it on, along with a bunch of others that were beautiful, but not very ‘me,’” Cierra shared with People. “Of course, mom always knows best! My mom requested I try one on and when I put it on…I just knew! It’s such a timeless dress and I feel like a princess in it!”
She later changed into a Kim Kassas Couture gown for the reception, which featured the string quartet from the ceremony playing modern song “Bridgerton-style,” as well as The Smiths cover band Nowhere Fast.
For their first dance, Cierra and Jonathan danced to “The Promise” by When In Rome.
“Our biggest fear was getting on stage and freezing like deer in the headlights,” she said. “Thankfully, our friend, Chris Downey, who is an amazing choreographer helped us come up with something to make us look amazing and like we really knew what we were doing!”
