Sentimental Value is on track to being an Oscars favorite this year and the cast just premiered the movie at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival!
Elle Fanning and Renate Reinsve walked the red carpet together at the premiere on Thursday night (September 4) in Toronto, Canada.
Also in attendance were co-stars Stellan Skarsgard and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, as well as director Joachim Trier.
The movie had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival back in May and it won the Grand Prix award. The film will be Norway’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2026 Oscars.
IMDb notes that the movie is “an intimate and moving exploration of family, memories, and the reconciliatory power of art.” The movie is set to be released in the U.S. on November 7.
Renate was almost set to star in one of the summer’s hottest movies, but she dropped out.
