Ed Sheeran was offered a chance to perform in space, but he’s not blasting off anytime soon.
The 34-year-old “Shape of You” singer sat down for an interview on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show for BBC Radio 2. During the appearance, he revealed he once turned down the chance to play a gig in space.

“I was offered to go to space a while ago, you know,” he siad.
“It was talk about doing a gig there. Doing a first gig in space. I’m sure lots of people got that email, but yeah, it terrifies me,” he continued.
When asked about whether the offer still stands, Ed said: “Oh, mate, I ain’t doing it. I’ve got kids. I’m not going to risk that for what? Like a Guinness World Record something or other? I’m not going to risk my kids not having a dad.”
He also confirmed his last album will be released after his death.
