Channing Tatum is dishing on filming the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday!

The 45-year-old actor will be reprising his Gambit role from Deadpool & Wolverine in the next Avengers pic in the MCU.

“I’m not gonna go full Cajun,” he told Variety, adding that directors Anthony and Joe Russo “want things to be funny, but they don’t want to go full Deadpool. They want to keep the drama and keep it tight. When Gambit gets serious — when he drops the Mardi Gras mask — things do matter.”

He also noted that he almost didn’t say yes to the movie as he didn’t want to be away from his daughter Everly for too long.

“I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do Avengers, because I was going to have to be gone, but I was like — it’s OK. She’s going into middle school now,” he said.

As for his injury while filming Doomsday, Channing shared, “It’s not about the pain I feel in the moment. It’s knowing I can’t take this back. And now I know what the next six months of my life will be like. I just hate getting old. In my mind, I’m literally still 30 years old — 26, if I’m honest.”
