Who is in the running to take over for Anna Wintour at Vogue?

If you missed the news, the 75-year-old icon is leaving as the head of editorial for the famed US fashion mag, but will still be on board as the global chief content officer and global editorial director.

According to an unverified report, there’s a shortlist of candidates, and the successor will be announced by the beginning of New York Fashion week. NYFW takes place from September 11-16 this year.

So, who’s in the “final rounds” of interviews? Page Six shared there “are believed to be four to five favorites left, including some external candidates.”

One name is Chloe Malle, 39, and the site says she’s the “frontrunner,” though none of this has been confirmed by the mag. She currently works as an editor at Vogue, and is the daughter of actress Candice Bergen and French film director Louis Malle. She is the one who interviewed Lauren Sanchez Bezos for her Vogue wedding story.

Nicole Phelps, global director of Vogue Runway, is also apparently on the list.

Other names thought to be in contention were Instagram’s Eva Chen, W mag’s Sara Moonves, and British Vogue‘s Chioma Nnadi, but the report shares all three are not going to be leaving their current positions.
