Kid Cudi is breaking his silence about testifying in Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ trial.
The 41-year-old rapper revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday (August 13) that he initially turned down requests to testify twice before being subpoenaed to take the stand in May.
“I hated every minute of it,” he said. “I did not want to do it, but then I thought about — when I was up there — I’m here to support Cassie.”

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, explained that his close friendship with Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) motivated him to testify, sharing, “Cassie is my friend, and I love her and I want to see her do well. I’ve always just wanted to see her thrive and do well and be happy. I know she was living a nightmare.”
During his testimony, he alleged that Diddy was abusive toward Cassie during their relationship, claimed Diddy broke into his home while they were dating, and recalled his car being lit on fire after their 2011 split.
“It was just chaotic and intense,” he said.
The rapper also admitted that his laid-back court attire was intentional.
“I’m not dressing up for this s***,” he recalled. “This is what I’m wearing today.”
Diddy was arrested in late 2024 and later found guilty on two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, while being acquitted on three other charges. He has continued to maintain his innocence. Watch Kid Cudi explain his testimony above.
