Right after we learned that an original cast member is coming back for Season 11, we’re now finding out that one of the stars of the NBC show is “stepping back” – but it seems like it won’t be for good.
The show will return this fall, but one of the three remaining OGs of the series won’t be there.

Marlyne Barrett – EXITING!
Marlyne Barrett, otherwise known as ER nurse Maggie Lockwood, will be “stepping back” for the first time since the show’s premiere in 2015.
The decision is due to “personal reasons,” per Deadline, and it is “envisioned as a temporary leave, and the hope is for her to return at some point.”
There are no further details just yet about the exit, nor how it will be explained (if at all) on the show, but stay tuned.
The fan-favorite One Chicago TV show returns with Season 11 at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesdays this fall on NBC.
