Brandon Blackstock’s Partner When He Died Was Kelly Clarkson’s Former Production Assistant

Brandon Blackstock‘s obituary revealed that he had a new partner at the time of his death and now we’ve learned that she previously worked for his ex-wife Kelly Clarkson.

Brandon passed away at the age of 48 last week following a three-year battle with cancer. His cause of death was just released, and confirmed the type of cancer he had been battling.

The obituary read, “After more than 20 years in the music business, Brandon found his way back to the mountains and the cowboy way of life he always wanted to live. He found a homestead and a love in Butte, Montana.”

Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana,” the obituary added.

Now, it’s being reported that Brittney has a long history with both Kelly and Brandon.

People reports that Brittney‘s LinkedIn page noted that she worked as a production assistant for Kelly from 2016 to 2018 while living in Nashville.

Brittney‘s roles at work transitioned to being Brandon‘s executive management assistant in December 2018. For those who don’t know, Brandon served as Kelly‘s music manager.

Amid her role as the executive management assistant, Brittney still “assistant managed day to day artist schedule for Kelly Clarkson.”

Brittney‘s job changed again in June 2020 when she became an executive assistant at Brandon‘s Montana ranch V Bar B Cattle Co. This is also the same month that Kelly filed for divorce.

People reports that she “moved to Montana to work for Blackstock‘s ranch the same month Clarkson filed for divorce.”

It’s unclear when Brandon and Brittney started a romantic relationship on top of their professional one.

People also reports that Brittney‘s father posted a tribute for Brandon, in which he referred to him as “my daughter’s soulmate,” and said he “considered him my son.”

Brandon‘s former stepmom Reba McEntire just broke her silence on his death.
