House of Lies is making its U.S. debut on Netflix this week and many fans will likely discover Don Cheadle‘s acclaimed TV show for the first time.
The series, which also starred Kristen Bell and Ben Schwartz, aired on Showtime for five seasons from 2012 to 2016.

Don has been in a relationship with wife Bridgid for more than 30 years, but they only recently got married.
While Bridgid is now an interior designer, she actually started her career as an actor after graduating with a theater degree from UCLA. She met Don on the set of the movie Rosewood in the 1990s. She later went back to school to get a master’s-level certificate in interior design.
Bridgid told USA Today in 2022, “I’ve always been conscious of space and how it makes me feel, whether it is inspired or hugged or warm. For me, space is an experience, and we spend so much time in interior space that I think being mindful of the space [we’re in] is important.”
The couple share two adult children: Imani and Tai.
So, why did they wait so long to get married?
Don says that he and Bridgid finally decided to get married after 28 years together because of tax purposes.
“Our accountant proposed to both of us and he showed us the numbers, and we said, ‘Yeah, we should probably do it.’ It came up a lot. But every time, we were like, ‘But we’re already together?’ [The accountant said], ‘Yeah, but this is a better reason to be together.’ Really, it’s because our accountant proposed to us. I wish there were some big sweet romantic story, but the romance happened, you know, the first year,” Don told Entertainment Tonight.
Bridgid joked that she waited so long because, “You’ve got to make sure. I wasn’t sure. Now I think I’m almost sure.”
