The Steve Miller Band was scheduled to head out on tour later this summer, but the band has canceled all tour dates and put blame on the weather.
Steve, 81, and the band released a statement on Thursday (July 17) to announce their decision to cancel all upcoming dates, because of the unpredictable weather conditions that have been hitting the United States recently.
The decision was made despite many of their tour dates taking place at indoor venues
“You make music with your instincts. You live your life by your instincts. Always trust your instincts,” the band began the statement.

They continued, “The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates. The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So…You can blame it on the weather…The tour is cancelled.”
“Don’t know where, don’t know when… We hope to see you all again. Wishing you all Peace, Love and Happiness. Please take care of each other,” they concluded the statement.
The band’s keyboardist, Joseph Wooten, said in a video that Steve told him that he’s “maybe leaving touring altogether.”
A popular pop artist just canceled her tour as well.
