“How dare you, sir? Would an untalented man be able to compose the following satirical witticism? Go f*ck yourself,” Stephen said to roaring cheers and applause from the audience. The crowd then chanted “Stephen!” several times.
Stephen went on to point out Trump saying Jimmy Kimmel was next.
“Absolutely not, Kimmel! I am the martyr, okay? There’s only room for one on this cross and I gotta tell you, the view is fantastic from up here,” he said.
After news that The Late Show would end in 2026, Trump took to his Truth Social account, saying, “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings.”
Stephen Colbert has since received an outpouring of support from fellow talk show hosts!
