This is Mariah Carey‘s 16th studio album.

“I’ve written some new songs. You know, I’m excited about it. I have to figure out which songs I’m going to do and which songs I’m not going to do. But I think I’m very excited about it,” she told Variety last year.

It’s been seven years since her last studio album, 2018’s Caution.

Since then, Carey signed to Gamma, the independent label that launched in 2023 by music executive L.A. Reid and Larry Jackson.

At the same time, Mariah also just went viral for her 3-word response to this question.
