“I asked him how he was, and he said he was feeling a lot better now and that it was ‘just one of those things,’” the royal reportedly said.

The local man told King Charles about how he overcame his own battle with cancer.

“He asked me how I was and I said, ‘I’m all good, I got the all clear from cancer last year,’” he recalled.

In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer after he underwent surgery to treat a benign enlarged prostate.

In March, he was hospitalized for side effects from his cancer treatment and took a step back from his royal engagements, but returned to work the following month.

In May, his aide shared how he was handling his illness while continuing to work.

“The thing you learn about this illness is that you just manage it, and that’s what he does,” the anonymous aide told The Telegraph at the time.

“Medical science has made incredible advances, and I genuinely see no difference in him. As long as you just do what the doctors say, just live your life as normal as possible. That’s exactly what he is doing.”
