Demi Lovato‘s pop star era is making a comeback!
The 32-year-old entertainer has been teasing new music for a couple weeks now, and her upcoming ninth studio album is reportedly in the final stages of being completed.
For the new record, Demi has been working with Zhone, who is executive producing the album. The producer has also produced such pop hits as Kesha‘s “Joyride,” Troye Sivan‘s “Rush” and “Talk Talk” by Charli XCX and Troye, as well as songs with Kylie Minogue, Paris Hilton, Adam Lambert and more!

“It’s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up,” Zhone shared with Rolling Stone. “She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout.”
@ddlovato some might call it, a resurrection
Demi‘s new music is tapping into the sound she has previously explored on such songs as “Solo” with Clean Bandit, “No Promises” with Cheat Codes, “Instruction” with Jax Jones, and, of course, her own “Neon Lights”!
“Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun,” a source told Rolling Stone. “She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track on this celebratory dance-pop album.”
This new song is on full display on her upcoming first single from the project, “Fast,” which she has been teasing on social media.
No release date for the single or the album has been revealed at this time, but the LP is expected to drop later this year!
