Apparently, the film will use Wall Street Journal‘s “The Facebook Files” as inspiration, looking closer at the October 2021 pieces that were published talking about what goes on inside Facebook.
Deadline reports that it’s “not a straight sequel” and more of a “follow up movie.” Sources shared that the film “will focus not just on the 2020 election but also Facebook’s effect on teens, preteens, violence and countries outside the U.S.”
Aaron won the 2011 Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for the first movie, which starred Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg. Jesse actually recently spoke out about not wanting to be associated with the Facebook founder anymore.
