Patrick Ball has provided an update on the second season of The Pitt, which will return to HBO Max next year.
The newcomer had his breakout role playing Dr. Langdon on the acclaimed series, but his future on the show was up in the air after he was sent home upon the discovery that he’s an addict and stealing pills.
Executive producer R. Scott Gemmill previously told TV Insider that the second season will take place 10 months after the first season and will be Langdon’s first day back in the hospital.
Now, Patrick is sharing an update on season two.

“This just in,” Patrick wrote on Instagram along with a screencap of an email he received on Monday (June 2) with the Episode 201 prep draft.
Patrick replied in the email chain, “Lfgggggg.” (Aka, let’s f–king go)

HBO has confirmed when The Pitt will return for season two. In the meantime, Los Angeles audiences can catch Patrick in Center Theatre Group’s production of Hamlet, which is running through July 6.
