Stranger Things’ Broadway Star Louis McCartney Make Tonys Debut as Show Sweeps Design Categories!

Louis McCartney is a star in the making he just attended the Tony Awards as a nominee for the first time!

The 21-year-old actor looked handsome in his tux at the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Louis was nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for playing Henry Creel in the new Broadway play Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

While Louis didn’t win, the show did take home three awards in the design categories: Best Scenic Design of a Play, Best Lighting Design of a Play, and Best Sound Design of a Play.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow won more awards than any other non-musical this year, followed by Purpose, Oh Mary, and The Picture of Dorian Gray, all with two wins each.
