
Cole Escola is making Broadway history with their win at the Tonys!
The 38-year-old actor won the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play at the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Cole is the first non-binary performer to win in this category at the Tonys. They won the award for their performance in the play Oh, Mary, which they also wrote.
After winning the award, Cole met up with director Sam Pinkleton backstage to pose with their Tonys.
While walking the red carpet, Cole talked about the inspiration for the dress that they wore at the event and it was inspired by a major Broadway star!
