There’s never a dull moment on Days of Our Lives, especially when it comes to casting.

She showed up in the series without Austin, as he was attending the graduation of their son, Noah.
The last time the couple was seen together was 2021′s spinoff, Beyond Salem, where they were seemingly at odds. Now, there’s even more speculation brewing!
Patrick Muldoon, who originated the part back in 1992, sparked return rumors thanks to a post from the show’s official page on Instagram on Monday (June 16).
“Who is that wandering around Salem…and why?! 👀” the official show page teased, along with footage of the actor arriving on set through a door.
However, Soap Opera Digest confirmed via a spokesperson for the show that the actor is not actually making an on-screen comeback.
“Rather, he was visiting the studio and providing a tour to a friend, and the show’s video post touting his presence at the studio was tongue in cheek,” the outlet reports.
Patrick shared the role with Austin Peck: Patrick played the role from 1992 until 1995, followed by Austin’s initial Salem run from 1995 until the character’s exit in 2002. Three years later, he once again stepped in until 2006. Patrick reclaimed the part from 2011 until 2012, and then again for the limited series Beyond Salem.
