Patti LuPone is hinting at a feud with fellow Broadway star Audra McDonald.
If you didn’t know, last year, Patti starred in the Broadway play The Roommate with Mia Farrow. Next door is Alicia Keys‘ musical Hell’s Kitchen, and Patti reportedly complained about the noise during performances. Hell’s Kitchen actress Kecia Lewis later took to Instagram to call Patti‘s complaints “bullying,” “racially microaggressive,” and “rooted in privilege.” Audra later commented on the post with clapping hand and heart emojis.
Now, Patti is speaking out about the situation.

“That’s typical of Audra. She’s not a friend,” she told The New Yorker in a recent interview, adding that she had a past beef with Audra.
Apparently, when asked about Audra‘s current lead performance in Broadway’s Gypsy, Patti stared blanky at the reporter.
