‘Hacks’ Renewed For Season 5 on Max, Days Ahead of Season 4 Finale

Exciting news for fans of the comedy series Hacks!

Max just announced that the Emmy award-winning television show has officially been picked up for a fifth season.

This news comes just two days before the show’s star-studded fourth season airs it’s finale episode.

“Yes! More! We congratulate HACKS‘ singularly talented cast and crew and our great partners at Universal Television,” Sarah Aubrey, Head of Max Original Programming, shared in a statement.

Erin Underhill, President of Universal Television, added, “Like Deborah Vance herself, HACKS only gets bolder, sharper, and more iconic with time. We’re beyond thrilled to keep the laughter rolling with Jen [Statsky], Paul [W Downs], Lucia [Aniello], our extraordinary cast and crew, and our partners at Max.”

Hacks has garnered 48 Emmy nominations over the past few years, including a win for Outstanding Comedy Series for season three.

Season four has also been the series’ best on Max, maintaining a Top 5 spot on the streamer, and achieving both domestic and global week-over-week growth every week so far this season.

The series stars Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Paul W Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato and Rose Abdoo.
