Kiki Layne and Ari’el Stachel are engaged!
On Friday (May 30), the Don’t Worry Darling co-stars, both 30, announced that they’re getting married.
In a video shared on Instagram, the pair discussed how racial and religious identities impact what they want to watch at home on the couch. As their preferences range, Kiki said, “Ari, don’t nobody wanna hear you crying on a Friday night!”
“Oh s–t! It’s Shabbat,” Ari’el remembered as he exited the room and came back to the couch, saying, “Babe, can we at least light the candles?”
“Of course,” Kiki responded before asking, “Can we watch Beyoncé‘s Homecoming?”
The camera then zooms out from Beyoncé on the TV and shows Ari’el lighting one of the Shabbat candles before he hands the match to Kiki, who takes it with her left hand to expertly show off her engagement ring.
The video then ends with Kiki show off her ring at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour before giving Ari’el a kiss on the cheek.
“This week is extra special — featuring my queen @kikilayne. Friday nights for us. Watch till the end — trust us 🙂 Kiki, I love you. Let’s build an empire,” Ari’el captioned the post.
