Catherine Paiz and her ex Austin McBroom rose to fame with their YouTube channel The ACE Family, in which they documented life with their kids.
The former couple launched their YouTube channel in 2016, got married in 2017, welcomed three children together, and ultimately called off their marriage in January 2024.
Austin recently confirmed that he cheated on Catherine during their nearly seven-year marriage and now she’s speaking out to react to the scandal.

Catherine is a guest on the latest episode of Alex Cooper‘s Call Her Daddy and she opened up about Austin‘s comments and how she first found out he was cheating on her.
Austin said in a 31-minute Snapchat Stories video, “Now let’s get into the cheating. When it comes to me stepping out of my marriage I did. I 100% stepped out of my marriage. It was completely wrong for me to do it. I take full accountability. If I can go back and change it, I would, and I’m sorry for that. I truly am, but when it comes to her acting like she had no idea what was going on, that is a complete lie. Catherine knew what I was dealing with for a very long time.”
Amid rumors that Austin cheated on her with up to 20 women, Catherine said, “I know three for sure. They’re out there in the world acting like that never happened, probably.”
Catherine denies that she approved of Austin sleeping with other women.
She said, “One thing he said that really just was a punch to the gut was, ‘Yes, I cheated and she was OK with it as long as I said you don’t embarrass me.’ That is not true. I never ever said that. I would never say that.”
“I would never want my kids to think that it’s OK to cheat on your husband or your wife. I will make sure to raise them so that they know that they should never ever do that because that is so wrong. You never cheat on the person you love. I would never in a million years say that,” she added.
Catherine says she first learned about Austin‘s cheating when she decided to use her ex’s phone to record their daughter’s haircut after her phone died.
Catherine was three months pregnant with their son Steel, now 4, at the time. She said, “I had never looked in his phone ever. As soon as I grabbed the phone, like out of a movie, this long text comes through like ‘If you really love your wife, you wouldn’t be…’ My brain scanned it, but I wasn’t able to read it fully. But in that moment, my heart drops. I’m pregnant. There are people watching us. The camera’s on. It felt surreal. He grabs the phone from me and instantly deletes the message. I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s true.’”
Austin never said the words “I cheated” until just a week ago while Catherine prepares for the release of her memoir, “Dolores: My Journey Home.”
Catherine said, “Even through our divorce, even through everything, I never heard him say the words ‘I cheated’ until a week ago. When I heard the words, I was like, ‘Oh my god, finally. I heard that. Thank you so much. That was all I was waiting for.’ Finally hearing those words was so healing for me because it’s like I wasn’t going crazy.””
