Just one year after being banned from the ACM Awards, controversial singer Morgan Wallen has been welcomed back with open arms.
The 28-year-old singer won the award for Album of the Year at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards on Monday (March 7) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.

Morgan was ineligible for the 2021 show due to his N-word controversy.
During his acceptance speech at the 2022 show, Morgan said that he has grown as a person in recent years.
“When I started this album I was a kid. By the time I put it out, I was a father,” he said, referring to his 20-month-old son Indigo. “That’s become more important to me than anything else. To my son, this album and this award will signify that his daddy was a fighter, that he chased his dreams and worked hard to make them a reality.”
He added, “Most importantly, I have to address my fans personally and directly. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m blown away by you guys. God bless.”
Morgan made headlines because of his personal life just one week ago.
